Coinbase Updates
Coinbase periodically rebrands and restructures its platform, and we work diligently to stay current with these changes.
NODE40 Balance currently supports the following Coinbase products:
- Coinbase Retail/Advanced Trade coinbase.com – Coinbase Advanced replaced Coinbase Pro as an improved advanced trading platform for retail users.
- Coinbase Exchange coinbase.com/exchange – Provides institutional clients with deep liquidity, high-performance APIs, and an expert trading platform.
- Coinbase Prime coinbase.com/prime – Offers secure custody, advanced trading options, and real-time market data for institutional investors.
- Coinbase Wallet – A self-custody wallet where the private keys are stored directly on your mobile device and not with a centralized exchange like coinbase.com. Coinbase Wallet is not the same product as coinbase.com, and you do not need a Coinbase account to use Coinbase Wallet.
Due to these Coinbase updates, we have retired the NODE40 Balance Coinbase Pro integration and enabled the integration for Coinbase Exchange. Portfolios with existing Coinbase ledgers will remain intact, but the option to update Coinbase Pro data via API is no longer available.

Enhance your NODE40 Balance experience with additional Timeline filters, allowing you to dive even deeper into your data. We’ve also expanded the platform’s precision support. To more optimally represent small denominated coins, we expanded support from 8 decimal places to 16 decimal places. Additionally, we’ve updated the stand-alone Gain/Loss report to provide all the data you need to remain compliant with updated IRS Form 8949 standards.
